Warrior Hike was founded in 2012, by Sean Gobin, a Iraq and Afghanistan veteran. While hiking 2,185 miles of the Appalachian trail, he realized the therapeutic effects of long distance hiking and how that could support those returning home from war. Sean thus created the “Walk Off The War” program, designed to support veterans transitioning out of their military service by hiking through America’s National Scenic Trails.
Every year, Warrior Hike hikes through dozens of trails, in small and large groups. This non-profit organization supports hundreds of veterans, in all branches, all over the United States.
White Sierra is proud to support Warrior Hike’s initiative and has donated much needed Outdoor gear for their journies. This Memorial Day weekend, we have partnered with Warrior Hike to offer 20% off all purchases on WhiteSierra.com, with 5% of proceeds going directly to Warrior Hike, by using the code: WSWHMD20 during checkout. We also are accepting donations on Warrior Hike’s behalf. 100% of all donations will go directly to the cause. Please feel free to donate on the White Sierra’s main page.
You can follow the Warrior Hike's current hike on their Facebook page. They're 1/4 of the way done!
This Memorial Day weekend, find YOUR outdoors and give thanks to those who’ve served.
